在看好飞行汽车市场的同时，摩根士丹利警告称，这个市场要崛起，必须得到技术和监管环境的支持。技术方面的关键挑战包括升级下一代电池的储能密度、降低噪音，以及使用人工智能来满足严格的自动飞行安全标准。在其报告中也提到：未来10年，全功能自动航空系统可能需要改进到比传统电动汽车/无人机(电动汽车/自动汽车)更强的水平。

Recent news about flying cars has been growing: the start-up company Opener pushes flying cars, which are expected to be sold next year; Japan plans to complete pilot production of manned "flying cars" next year; the concept flying cars developed by Audi, Airbus and IDG (Italdesign) have entered the testing stage; and the first product Transition of Terrafugia, an American flying car manufacturer under Geely, has begun to take over. The order will be delivered in mass production in 2019.

In an interview with Tiantian Online Journalist, Geely said: At present, urban traffic congestion is getting worse and worse, and future three-dimensional traffic trip will become a trend. With the increasing development of technology and the need to improve travel efficiency, more convenient and fast means of transportation are becoming more and more areas for many enterprises to explore. According to incomplete statistics, there are 22 companies in the world doing flying cars, including Geely, Uber, Opener, Kitty Hawk and so on. Morgan Stanley recently released an analysis that says the market for eVTOL aircraft could be close to $1.5 trillion by 2040.

While optimistic about the flying car market, Morgan Stanley warned that it must be supported by a technological and regulatory environment if it is to rise. Key technical challenges include upgrading the energy storage density of next-generation batteries, reducing noise, and using artificial intelligence to meet stringent automatic flight safety standards. The report also mentions that in the next 10 years, full-featured Aviation Systems may need to be improved to a higher level than traditional EV/UAV (EV/AV).
