The Transition flying car is formally described as "an airplane suitable for the road." when its wings extend, Transition can fly like an airplane, or when the wings are folded to the side, it is legally driving on the road like a car. It can only fly with a fixed wing, which means it must take off at the airport - if you want a flying car that can start and fall vertically, the concept of Terrafugia's TF-X and TF-2 may be more in line with your preference.

The company announced on Tuesday that the Transition will be driven by a combination of internal combustion engines and motors under the ground running mode - the latter is powered by the LiFePO4 battery pack. Other announced functions include the "enhancement" mode that allows the throttle to provide extra power in flight; in addition, it is equipped with a reformed interior, better seats, a "intuitive" new user interface, and the upgraded luggage capacity, as well as the updated security system, such as the seat belt, airbag and rear power. Visibility (vehicle will now use three camera rear view system on the road) and emergency parachute provided by BRS Aerospace Corporation.
