因为它有配合承载它的自动驾驶底座和无人机，这样一来Pop.Up能既在地面上行驶又能适应短途飞行。用户通过APP预定行程，系统会建议合理的交通出行方案，接送和到达时间也会提前设定好。太空舱和驾驶底座的组合车会按照约定时间和地点接到乘客，充满电的情况下，它可以最高时速100km/h行驶130km。自动驾驶到指定的停车场后，多旋翼无人机会紧接着自动连接太空舱，这时候驾驶底座自动脱落，无人机就能带着太空舱翻山越岭，去到乘客要求的指定地点，完全不用担心交通拥堵问题。Pop.Up的太空舱还能配合超回路列车（Hyperloop System）使用，能自动契合超回路列车，从而在管道中以超过1200km/h的速度行驶。空客Pop.Up作为一台概念车，设计看起来天马行空，但是随着当代航天力学、动力系统和感应系统的逐渐实现，在不久的将来，它也会像超回路列车一样被实现的。
