The world's first flying car Transition, being developed by Terrafugia, will be on sale next month and delivered to customers next year at an uncertain price. The two hybrid flying cars, which are owned by Geely, weigh about 1,300 pounds (590 kg) with folded wings and can fly 640 km/h at the highest speed of 160 km/h and 10,000 feet (3,048 m) at the highest altitude, and can switch between air and land in a minute.

The flying car has a "boost" mode that provides temporary extra power during flight, with a rear-view camera and a new parachute system. The flying car was certified as a light sport vehicle by the Federal Aviation Administration as early as 2016, so it requires a flying license to actually drive and must also meet the U.S. National Highway and Traffic Safety Management Standards.
