日经：日本经济产业省为了将“飞行汽车”推向实用化，开始开发飞行汽车与小型无人机（drone）及直升飞机区分飞行路线的运行管理技术。将统一管理在同一高度空域飞行的机体的飞行信息，为避免碰撞而实施调整。日本政府提出了在2025年国际博览会（大阪关西世博会）之际实施验证试验的计划，将力争在此之前确立管理技术。飞行汽车作为旅游用途等的新一代移动手段备受关注。优点是可以垂直起降、不需要滑行跑道。如果能在城市中使用，还有望减轻交通拥堵。
