According to the Daily Mail of June 27, U.S. scientists have developed a prototype of an unmanned aerial vehicle that can fly and travel on the road, a breakthrough that could pave the way for future development of flying vehicles. At the same time, each UAV is equipped with two wheeled motors at the bottom to enable it to travel on the road. Various "path planning" algorithms ensure that UAVs can operate on the road. Communication and collision avoidance are developments that allow UAVs to fly into disaster areas and to transport objects or rescue people in narrow spaces.

Geely recently announced that Taili Flight is expected to start reserving its first-generation Transition in October for about $190,000, mainly for the U.S. market, with the first mass-produced vehicles due out in 2019.
