飞行汽车被中国熟知，很大程度上归功于浙江吉利控股集团有限公司2017年11月全资收购美国太力（Terrafugia）飞行汽车公司。Terrafugia由5个美国麻省理工大学的毕业生于2006年创立。2009年，他们发布了第一款飞行汽车Transition，是首辆获得美国上路许可的飞行汽车，3年后Transition推出了迭代版本。

吉利日前宣布，太力飞行汽车预计今年10月开始第一代产品Transition的预订工作，预售价约为19万美元，主要针对美国市场，首批量产车将于2019年问世。
中国现在已经是全球创新最为活跃、新兴技术应用最快的国度之一，随着吉利飞行汽车明年量产，必然会带动整个产业链的发展，促进汽车业与航空业的融合，也有望迎来新一波的创新浪潮。事实上，很多科技公司与汽车公司都已经开展了对飞行汽车的布局：
◾腾讯参与了德国飞行汽车公司Lilium 9000万美元B轮融资；

◾谷歌联合创始人拉里·佩奇出资近亿美元，投资Zee.aero和KittyHawk两家飞行汽车创业公司；

◾丰田汽车旗下飞行汽车业务商标名为SkyDrive，丰田希望SkyDrive汽车能够在2020年举行的东京奥运会上首次亮相并在奥林匹克体育场点燃圣火；

◾波音兼并极光飞行科学公司，对飞行出租车投入重注；

◾优步与极光公司正在研发先进的垂直起落飞机并打造未来的城市空中交通网络，将在未来5到10年内推出自动飞行出租车。优步甚至正在研发一款空航版的叫车软件Uber AIR，这款App预计将在2020年启用；

◾保时捷也证实正在考虑开发飞行汽车，打入飞行出租车市场。该车大多数功能为自动化，车主可以在没有飞行员执照的情况下使用这辆车；

◾荷兰飞行器制造公司PAL-V International B.V.在2018年日内瓦汽车展上正式发布了PAL-V Liberty飞行汽车的量产版，预计2019年正式交付。
为什么将近200年之后，人类才解决了飞行汽车的量产问题？由于飞行汽车既要在天空飞行，又要像普通汽车一样在陆地行走，甚至能停进车库，首先需要考虑的就是飞行汽车如何在两种不同形态间切换，并满足安全性、易用性、低噪音、轻量化等技术要求，其次是成本控制与规模量产问题，最后还要符合政府相关法律法规监管。

Many foreign car manufacturers make flying cars, Geely flying cars will be listed next year.
China is well-known for flying cars, thanks in large part to Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd.'s wholly owned acquisition of Terrafugia in November 2017. Terrafugia was founded by 5 American MIT graduates in 2006. Toyota hopes SkyDrive will make its first appearance at the Tokyo Olympic Games in 2020 and light the flame at the Olympic Stadium.
Boeing merged with Aurora flying science company to reinvest the taxi.
Europa and Aurora are developing advanced vertical landing aircraft and building a future urban air transport network, which will launch automatic flying taxis in the next five to 10 years. Youbo is even developing an airline version of Uber AIR, an app that is expected to be launched by 2020.

Porsche also confirmed that it is considering developing flying cars and entering the flying taxi market. Most of the functions of the car are automated, and the owner can use the car without a pilot's license.
Dutch aircraft manufacturer PAL-V International B.V. officially released a production version of the PAL-V Liberty Flying Vehicle at the 2008 Geneva Motor Show, which is expected to be officially delivered in 2019.
Why do we solve the problem of mass production of flying cars almost 200 years later? Because the flying vehicle must fly in the sky, walk on the land like an ordinary vehicle, and even be able to park in the garage, the first thing to consider is how to switch between two different forms of flying vehicle, and meet the safety, ease of use, low noise, lightweight and other technical requirements, followed by cost control and mass production.
