In September 2017, volocopter conducted an air taxi test public unmanned flight demonstration in Dubai, the city is also seeking to alleviate traffic congestion through flying taxis. Dubai and Singapore are the company's first point-to-point flight test venues bidders, while in Singapore, volocopter's tests are supported by the Ministry of transport (MOT), the Singapore Civil Aviation Authority (CAAS) and the economic development board (EDB).
